Shkertik

Award-winning brand and website recognized for most user-friendly design, best UX, and best UI.

Shkertik is an award-winning website that I designed and developed from the ground up. The project received recognition for its intuitive user interface, exceptional user experience, and innovative design approach. The site features a clean, modern aesthetic with thoughtful interactions that guide users naturally through the content.

The story

Shkertik was born in 2013, inspired by my love for sailing and the sea as a teacher – always changing, always offering new lessons. The goal was simple but ambitious: to create handcrafted, life-proof bracelets that spoke to curious, open-minded people around the world. Designed to be unisex, adjustable, and deeply personal, the bracelets needed to carry meaning – not just style. From the start, Shkertik was about connection, freedom, and storytelling.

The Process

The Process

I founded the brand from the ground up – designing the products, building the e-commerce platform, and creating an identity that was both minimal and emotionally resonant. I focused on premium yet inclusive UX/UI, using storytelling to build a genuine relationship with customers. Social media played a key role, especially our verified Facebook page, which organically grew to over 80,000 loyal followers. I kept marketing spend lean, with only €41,000 in Facebook Ads, relying instead on authenticity, community, and word-of-mouth.

In Conclusion

Shkertik wasn’t just a bracelet brand – it was a movement. Built on personal passion, it combined thoughtful design with deep emotional value, offering customers a story they could wear. After nearly a decade of growth, community, and creative expression, I successfully exited the business in 2022. It remains one of my proudest projects – proof that when you build with soul, you can create something that truly lasts.
